  • Full Description

    Flavour

Immerse yourself in the beautifully complex tones of spices, cedarwood, grapefruit, and raspberry. This light-roasted coffee allows all those glorious flavours to shine through and the honey processing method gives them a subtle honey-like taste akin to caramel.

    Process

Historically, it was difficult to farm coffee in Costa Rica, with limited facilities for beans to be fully separated from the coffee fruit, or cherry. The team at Coope Dota farm introduced the ‘honey process’ to the region, where the skin and pulp of the coffee cherry is removed but leaves a sweet, sticky layer (which is traditionally removed) on the bean. This gives the beans a honey-like colour and flavour. Unusual, but delicious!

    Brewing

Due to the complex flavour notes of these delightful coffee beans, we recommend using Aeropress or filters to ensure the delicate flavours are coaxed out. Cafetières can also be used but the coffee shouldn’t brewed for too long!
