Organic ceremonial-grade matcha, softly sweet, nutty and energising
Matcha translates simply: ma for powder, cha for tea. But there's nothing simple about what's in this tin.
Our organic ceremonial-grade matcha comes from the volcanic slopes of Makinohara in Japan. The tencha leaves are shade-grown for weeks before harvest, encouraging their vivid green colour and exceptionally smooth character, before the finest first-flush shoots are slowly stone-ground into an impossibly fine powder.
The result is vibrant, aromatic and naturally delicate, with soft nutty sweetness, gentle vegetal notes and a remarkably smooth finish.
Whisk two scoops with 70 °C water in a rapid W-shaped motion until a fine foam forms. Bright, silky and wonderfully serene, it's a moment of calm in every bowl.

How to Make
- 2g Green Tea Matcha Powder
- 60ml water
-
1.
The traditional measure for a standard bowl (usucha) is about 2g.
-
2.
Sifting the matcha first is also worth adding, since it's the main way to avoid lumps.
-
3.
Add 30ml of 75-80°C water to whisk into a smooth paste.
-
4.
Then top up with another 30ml of hot water and whisk again to get the perfect foam.
-
5.
Use a bamboo whisk (chasen) and a 'W' motion for about 15-20 seconds.
-
6.
Sip as it is or add your matcha to milks for lattes or add other syrups for your own flavoured matcha.
