Full Description
English Breakfast Tea became a cherished staple across Britain when Queen Victoria was rumored to enjoy it's robust character. While its exact origins remain a mystery — whether crafted in Scotland for the Queen or by an enterprising American tea merchant — the blend quickly rose to prominence. Sourcing tea leaves from select tea gardens in West Java, Walter Whittard created this distinctive, lighter twist on English Breakfast tea balancing malty richness with bright, nuanced notes - a timeless favorite at Whittard for over a century.
Our English Breakfast Collection brings together an embossed, stackable, air-tight tea caddy that ensures your tea stays impeccably fresh while adding a touch of elegance to your tea table. Accompanying it, an artfully designed tube of buttery biscuits pairs perfectly with each cup, alongside a box of 25 individually wrapped teabags for enjoying this classic blend wherever you go.
Inspired by Victorian heritage, the collection’s design draws from the vibrant patterns of William Morris wallpapers, evoking the charm of morning birdsong and the crisp dawns when English Breakfast tea was savored in drawing rooms across Britain. A delightful gift for any tea enthusiast or a beautiful heritage piece to take pride of place in your kitchen.
