Lusciously rich and nutty, Dragon Well, or Longjing, is one of China's most reputed green teas, and for very good reason.

The name comes from an ancient well near Hangzhou's West Lake, where local legend says swirling rainwater and groundwater create the impression of dragons moving beneath the surface.

Meticulously produced by hand in the Zhejiang Province of east China, the distinctive green leaves are flattened against a hot wok, giving them the appearance of slender, glossy blades.

In the cup, this produces a beautifully clear, pale green infusion with a wonderfully smooth, sweet and nutty character. Lush, deep and almost buttery.

Heaven, for any green tea lover.
