This loose leaf blend of fine black teas was one our very first creations.

It combines the rich malty depth of Indian Assam, with the authentic campfire smokiness of Lapsang Souchong from China's Fujian Province, and high-grown Nepalese tea for light, bright top notes.

A balanced, multi-layered brew with real depth. The malt, spice, sweetness and smoke make this not just a classic, but a favourite.

And it comes with a story too.

Russian Caravan takes its name from the camel-drawn caravans that once carried tea from China to Europe. They travelled a six-month overland route across the frozen Mongolian and Siberian steppe.

Nightly campfires kept away the cold, but also gently smoked the tea bales stacked nearby as merchants rested. The result was so delicious though, no-one minded. Or so the story goes.

Three strikingly different teas with three very different origins. One fitting tribute to a little history.
