A tasty take on classic chai, this loose leaf creation uses green tea instead of the traditional black. It's inspired by the tea houses of old Shanghai.

At its heart is a striking green tea, pan-fired in the traditional Chinese manner rather than steamed in the Japanese style. It offers a subtle nuttiness and gentle smokiness.

This works beautifully with warming spices that give chai its beloved flavour: cinnamon, cardamom and clove. For a further twist we add a touch of sweet spearmint and invigorating ginger for a refreshing, cooling finish.

A tiny pinch of black pepper rounds things off, adding just enough intrigue to make you reach for another cup.

Yum cha, as the Chinese say. Utterly yummy, as we say.

Cardamom (25%), Green Tea (20%), Cinnamon (20%), Spearmint (15%), Ginger (10%), Cloves (5%), Black Pepper
