Necessity was the mother of invention in the vast green seas of the paddy fields where tea was expensive and rice plentiful. This blend of grassy green tea, tempered by nutty roasted rice, was originally drunk by farmers. However, news of its sweet mellow taste spread across the land and it soon became a Japanese classic. Now it is loved by our customers too.
