An outstanding tea which is firm and especially well-defined, because it is 'High Grown'. These larger twists of lovely long black leaf, rare for the altitude are deliciously smooth and mature, with great color and very noticeable slightly 'oaky' orange pekoe (OP) character.

I discovered the pleasure of real tea on a holiday to Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka. I discovered a tea I adored without milk at the Meert patisserie in Lille. Then I discovered that the tea which had been a revelation on both occasions was available at Whittards. I have found no tea to match it. So I buy it bulk and breakfast with it every day. 4 heaped teaspoons, a full kettle of freshly draw water and a timed brew - one minute and 30 seconds. Perfect every time, everyday. It is expensive but you get what you pay for.

All Whittard of Chelsea US deliveries are made by courier. 

If we do deliver to you at home and no one's in, our couriers will leave a card telling you about how to collect your delivery or rearrange the delivery. Any unclaimed or undelivered orders will eventually make their way back to our warehouse.
